POSITION PURPOSE
This position will be located at our Pioneer Generation Station (PGS) location in Williston, ND.
Provide overall direction and execution of planning activities for the Distributed Generation sites. Develop job plan considerations and safety concerns; secure and reserve catalog parts; and procure non-catalog parts. Provide access to instruction manuals, assembly, and parts drawings; determine special tool requirements and mutiple craft requirements; and occasionally oversee contractor and vendor activities for completion on annual service contracts and outage activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to date asset records on equipment, work and inventory Develop and prepare reports.
- Maintain equipment records, part histories, regulatory compliance information and Management of Change requirements.
- Set up PM schedules and work with site personnel on follow up of completion.
- Provide input in development of operations and maintenance budgets.
- Provide on site training to personnel on work management, inventory, contract management, controlled documents and purchasing processes.
- Assist in setting preventive maintenance schedules in. Develop Model Work Orders for preventative maintenance and repetitive tasks.
- Develop new facility equipment lists and upload into EAM and MinMax eSmart.
- Develop preventative maintenance tasks and checklists in the MinMax eSmart application, which is used for NERC compliance documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED).
- 5 years of power plant/industrial/combustion turbine operation or maintenance experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Travel up to 25%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Asset management system experience.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent sitting; and occasional climbing, bending, reaching above and below shoulder level, standing/walking, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and crawling. This position uses office and field equipment. Good vision and hearing, finger dexterity, hand coordination, and the ability to perform close work. The incumbent also occasionally works in areas where they are exposed to dirt/dust, noise, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, poor ventilation, electrical risks, confined areas, and at heights up to 300 feet, which requires the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards. This position must be respirator qualified.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to trouble shoot plant process problems, effectively plan and schedule maintenance activities, and understand plant maintenance process systems.
- Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications.
- Able to develop plans, achieve goals, present information to others.
- Able to analyze data/reports, conduct research, assist in the creations, justification/implementation of recommendations, and supervise/evaluate the performance of others.
- Working knowledge of coal-based, combustion turbine or industrial plant equipment.
