Job Description: 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Human Resources division. It is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing degrees aligned with business and human resources fields. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support HRBPs with day-to-day activities, including employee lifecycle processes, organizational updates, and HR initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis.
  • Participate in projects related to employee engagement, performance management, onboarding, and policy updates.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Help coordinate employee events, training sessions, and communication initiatives.
  • Maintain accuracy of employee records and documentation within HR systems.
  • Shadow HRBPs during employee meetings and cross-functional business discussions (as appropriate).
  • Provide general administrative support to the HRBP team
  • Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year degree Business or Human Resources program with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous internship or relevant work experience.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
     

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.

Wage: $23.00/hour
