Job Description: 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in a variety of departments across the Cooperative and its subsidiaries. It is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing degrees aligned with business, engineering, technology, trades, science, and administrative fields. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review daily cash margin and prepayment requests, seek appropriate approvals, confirm with counterparty or communicate any disputes, and process for payment.
  • Review daily price imports and coordinate corrections if needed.
  • Assemble and distribute various credit reports and other risk reports as needed.
  • Assist with the assembly of information for and documentation of counterparty credit analysis.
  • Monitor for new commodity trades entered into the trade capture system, review them for accuracy and completeness, and process for approval or follow-up with trader for corrections.
  • Work with the manager and staff members of Commodity Risk area to enhance commodity profit and loss monitoring and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year accounting, business, or finance related field with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous internship or relevant work experience.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
     

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.

Wage: $23/hour
