POSITION PURPOSE
This temporary position assists with audiovisual production and support across the Cooperative and its subsidiaries using a wide variety of professional equipment and editing software, allowing you to build your skills in video production, post-production, and multimedia storytelling. This position assists with multi-media functions including setup, operating cameras and tear down at local live events, and assisting with internal photography and A/V projects.
This position is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing degrees aligned with audiovisual and communications fields. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment for video shoots and live events.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio gear under supervision.
- Edit video and audio content using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Organize and archive digital media assets.
- Help create social media clips, promotional videos, and event recordings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for content.
- Assist with equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Support team in pre-production planning (e.g., scripting, storyboarding, scheduling).
- Assist department staff with assigned tasks, projects, or data entry aligned with field of study.
- Attend and participate in team meetings or training opportunities.
- Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a two-year audiovisual or communications related program with at least one year completed; or a recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
OR
- Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year audiovisual or communications related program with at least two years compled; or a recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
- Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
- Experience using audiovisual equipment.
- Experience using multimedia editing software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred) and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent sitting, standing/walking; occasionally reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending/reaching, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling over 50 pounds. It requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. Must be able to present information to others, and complete projects within deadlines. Equipment operated includes PC computers, printers, scanners, video and still cameras, video projectors, live event AV equipment such as a tri-caster and streaming resources. May require operation of a motor vehicle. May include same-day travel and occasional overnight travel. Working hours may include some evenings outside of normal business hours.

Wage: $21-$23/hour
