Job Description: 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Information Technology division. It is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics,  or Information Technology. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist department staff with data profiling and data mapping exercises as part of the ERP project.
  • Assist department staff with converting legacy reports to new report system. 
  • Assist department staff with the migration of documents as part of the new document management system project. 
  • Assist department staff with the buildout of data pipelines. 
  • Assist department staff with the buildout of a data catalog. 
  • Assist department staff with the buildout of other data governance tasks and initiatives. 
  • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards and screens. 
  • Create and maintain documentation as necessary. 
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings as required. 
  • Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related discipline with at least one year completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous internship or relevant work experience.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
     

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.
