POSITION PURPOSE
This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the SEC Reporting and Internal Controls area with SEC filings and financial disclosure. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the preparation and submission of SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the disclosure of financial information.
- Provide strategic recommendations on financial reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify financial data.
- Ensure all financial disclosures meet SEC requirements and standards.
- Support the Financial Services team in various projects and tasks as needed.
- Work with the Director of SEC Reporting & Internal Controls and staff members of Financial Reporting & General Accounting area to enhance SEC filings.
- Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Accounting, Business, or Finance related program with at least 2 years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
- Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.
