POSITION PURPOSE
This temporary position will provide introductory drafting services and support for electrical engineering and “as built” drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Verify redlines of modifications per drafting standards at Basin Electric.
- Provide drafting services and support for assigned electrical engineering drawings.
- Assist with electrical engineering "as built" drawing revisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two year drafting and design technology, engineerng technology, computer aided drafting, pre-engineering, or related discipline with at least one year completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
- Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires constant standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, reaching above and below shoulder level, kneeling, crawling, hand coordination; occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 60 pounds and the use of a keyboard/computer. This position also requires finger dexterity, good hearing, and color vision. It also requires the ability to analyze data/reports and conduct research; implement recommendations; develop plans, procedures, and goals; and present information to others. The incumbent may be required to work under pressure due to conflicting priorities and deadlines. This position occasionally may work in conditions of dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, and confined areas. Must be able to travel, either by operating a motor vehicle or traveling by Cooperative or commercial plane. Equipment operated includes computers, telecommunication devices and test equipment, as needed.
