Job Description: 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is located at Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND.

This position is open to varying levels based on experience.

Under close direction, provides administrative support to a department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Greets callers and visitors.  Responds to and routes routine inquiries.
  • Handles mail including opening incoming, preparing outgoing and pickup and delivery.
  • Prepares and distributes standard reports and other basic communications.
  • Performs data entry such as lists, charts and other documents; maintains files and archives of relevant records.
  • Performs photocopying, faxing and scanning.
  • Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings, and other items. 
  • May manage office supply inventory and other routine processes.
  • Assist with engineering package assembly and distribution.
  • Handles document and records control. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • An associate’s degree in business or a related field; and 1 year of related administrative experience; or
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED), and 3 years of related administrative experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required when driving is an essential function of the position.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.
